This 1930 Opel Motorclub is a pre-World War II gem. It spent the war in a woodpile in Czechoslovakia. In 2013 this very rare SS (Super Sport) underwent a complete restoration.
Although 1500 were produced it is believed that fewer than 20 of this Super Sport model have survived. The gas gauge mounted on top of the fuel tank was very rare and ahead of its time. The colorcoordinated upholstery and tires distinguish this Motoclub and its nickname the "Silver Redbird".
It is powered by a single cylinder, 500-cc engine and is coupled to a three-speed transmission. The high-beam and low-beam is cable operated.
The Motoclub was only built in 1929 and 1930. They were produced before Opel began to build automobiles.
