1949 Cadillac Series 62 Club Coupe

The 1949 Cadillac was the automotive "Standard of the World" in design and technology and represented General Motors and Vice President of Styling Harley Earl at the top of their game. The 1949 Cadillac launched a new post-war design and engineering era introducing the first tail fins on cars and the first GM overhead valve 331 cubic-inch V-8 with 160 hp.

Accolades and wins came swiftly for the 1949 Cadillac: first Motor Trend "Car of the Year"; dominance at the first Carrera Panamericana road race in Mexico; many NASCAR wins; a strong finish at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and headline feature car at the first GM Motorama in 1949 at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York City.

The owner is only the third of this 1949 Cadillac. It is restored as it came off the showroom floor in Lucerne Green Metallic No. 16 paint over Special Order Tan and Brown Leather interior. It sold for $3,695.00 with its options. Original documents including the signed sales order, owner ID card, warranty and welcome letter from Cadillac came with the car.
